Hosted by Vers Forêt
Vers Forêt is proud to offer, in partnership with other Lake Temiskaming Tour businesses, mycotourism packages. These activities will consist of general information about wild mushrooms, a guided tour in the forest and some culinary delights. It will be possible to buy on site different reference books, harvest materials and some local products.
These tours are family oriented and safe for all. Wild mushrooms harvesting is an activity rapidly growing in popularity and attracts tourists of all horizons. Vers Forêt wishes to establish a strong bond between nature and the food industry.
Hosted by Zante's Bar & Grill
Once a month, Zantes Bar and Grill offers a local dinner event. Each event includes a multi-course meal showcasing a different local producer and their products (e.g. bison, cheese, berries, etc.). Vegetarian options are available. The dinner series highlights the bounty of local food and drink products available around the Lake Temiskaming Tour, with a focus on seasonality. The menu celebrates the diversity of ways that the featured products can be cooked and aims to inspire and empower participants to buy more local products to cook in their own homes. After a quick introduction to the producer and meal, cozy and casual atmosphere makes it easy for participants to chat to the producers and chefs behind the meal, as well as meet others enjoying the meal alongside them. The dinner series offers a great way from couples and friends to enjoy a night out throughout the year.
